{"id":27493,"date":"2014-05-22T15:25:10","date_gmt":"2014-05-22T20:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/?p=27493"},"modified":"2014-05-22T15:25:10","modified_gmt":"2014-05-22T20:25:10","slug":"osd-grads-hit-close-to-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/blog\/2014\/05\/22\/osd-grads-hit-close-to-home\/","title":{"rendered":"OSD grads hit close to home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>OSD grads hit close to home<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>May 21, 2014<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Pauls Valley Democrat<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pauls Valley, Oklahoma \u2014 Students from Pauls Valley and Paoli will be among those graduating from the Oklahoma School for the Deaf this week.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"3e3b76d2-ebcd-4417-8b96-4bc8e6171212\">Trynecka<\/span> Olivia Sheffey of Pauls Valley and Nathan Christopher Coon of Paoli will both take part in the commencement ceremony set to begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 in the OSD gym at <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"d08c6012-bf05-4033-9698-6419f7d1f4b5\">Sulphur<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The OSD 2014 graduating class also includes Rodolfo Apolinar Jr. <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"1c1a9950-7aad-4876-9227-1efbfb3746bb\">of<\/span> Ardmore, Amber Marie Cooper of Lane, Erika Nicole Gillihan of <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"a709a003-4af2-4b86-a13b-5426c135b19c\">Sulphur<\/span>, Ty Blake Jenkins of <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"9b6ffb63-074e-494c-abfd-9bff603c0773\">Sulphur<\/span>, Alex Christopher McCool of Choctaw, Nico Angelo McCormick of Moore, <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"fe24b00c-1c1e-435d-aa9a-e10daff2a3db\">Melissa Susie<\/span> Pace of <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"0599bf84-5be5-4564-8d09-57bd4744ca69\">Sulphur<\/span>, Amy Lenn Pena of Altus, Morgan Renee Ponder of Tulsa, Haylee Tess Reynolds of Swink and Breanna Lynn Winfree of Guthrie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been a great group of students,\u201d OSD Superintendent <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"a6aa469b-e09b-449a-84c0-bd563592a8fd\">KaAnn<\/span> Varner said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to seeing what this group of graduates <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"195665c4-fef1-47ed-885a-acb6bac99eb0\">accomplish<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>OSD is a division of the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), a state agency which assists Oklahomans with disabilities through vocational rehabilitation, education, employment, independent living programs and the determination of medical eligibility for disability benefits.<\/p>\n<p>OSD has been located in <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"4b89db88-9fc2-46d3-ac77-4d2805643429\">Sulphur<\/span> since 1908.<\/p>\n<p>OSD provides residential and day school educational services at no charge for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The school provides a range of outreach programs, including pre-school programs and <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"f3cfbe10-8681-4043-aae7-2265f683244f\">onsite<\/span> consultation for public school students, their families, public school districts and communities statewide.<\/p>\n<p>SOURCE:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulsvalleydailydemocrat.com\/communitynews\/x1396857900\/OSD-grads-hit-close-to-home#sthash.tjkEqhD5.dpuf\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.paulsvalleydailydemocrat.com\/communitynews\/x1396857900\/OSD-grads-hit-close-to-home#sthash.tjkEqhD5.dpuf<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OSD grads hit close to home May 21, 2014 Pauls Valley Democrat Pauls Valley, Oklahoma \u2014 Students from Pauls Valley and Paoli will be among those graduating from the Oklahoma School for the Deaf this week.
