HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Another Houston-area Denny\u2019s was held-up overnight as five men stormed a restaurant in northeast Harris County.<\/p>\n

Sheriff\u2019s deputies responded to the 9600 block of N. Sam Houston Parkway around 3 a.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Workers and customers said that five young men, possibly in their mid- to late-teens, entered the restaurant with their faces covered. One of the suspects pointed a pistol at customers and another had a rifle. The men demanded cash, cell phones, and wallets. They then told a manager to take them to the store safe.<\/p>\n

In all, about $1,000 in cash was taken, witnesses said.<\/p>\n

During the robbery, one of the men got angry with a hearing impaired customer, hitting him and choking him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe grabbed by throat<\/span> and hit me right here,\u201d the diner told KHOU 11 News, pointing to his cheek.<\/p>\n

\u201cI seriously couldn\u2019t believe it was really real,\u201d said a worker. \u201cLike it just didn\u2019t seem real, and when they started screaming and cussing us out, I\u2019m like \u2018oh my god!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The men then fled the scene.<\/p>\n

One of the witnesses said the men left in<\/span> burgundy 1996 Ford extended cab pickup truck.<\/p>\n

Investigators are now reviewing evidence at the scene, including surveillance video and fingerprints as the men were reportedly not wearing gloves.<\/p>\n
