He said, &#8220;can not has never registered in my brain.&#8221; However, around 10 years ago Cary began feeling a numbness in his face and hands, he later learned he had a stroke. <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"a34202f8-e431-43d9-9db5-ace52e68d881\">He<\/span> body slowly started to shut down. &#8220;When all this started tumbling down on me, I was sitting on this television, doing nothing, and I weighed 200 lbs, and feeling sorry for myself.&#8221; said Cary.<\/p>\n<p>One day he said God spoke to him, and he went to the Division for Blind Services. &#8220;When I first him, I mean, he could barely talk,&#8221; said his counselor, Mary Ransom, who was determined to turn his life around. After months turned into two years he finally gained his strength back, mentally and physically. &#8220;I think God allowed me to be blind for two things. He didn&#8217;t like the lifestyle I had so he took care of that with blindness, and then he opened up a blind world out there that needs me, and I need them,&#8221; said Cary.<\/p>\n<p>Because of Ransom&#8217;s help, the sky is the limit for Cary&#8230; Literally. &#8220;And the next thing I knew, he was calling me telling me he was taking skydiving lessons I said what?&#8221; said Ransom. In response, Car <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"1bafd3bd-d43d-45eb-b7e1-623e19db3b58\">said<\/span>, &#8220;And I said you know what, why can&#8217;t I do that?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He now calls himself a &#8216;skydive junkie,&#8217; and has jumped a total <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"5cf3ecdc-74b5-4809-a74f-250da8bdb7e6\">of six times now<\/span>.
