{"id":27683,"date":"2014-06-09T06:51:19","date_gmt":"2014-06-09T11:51:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/?p=27683"},"modified":"2014-06-09T06:51:19","modified_gmt":"2014-06-09T11:51:19","slug":"website-launched-to-help-dhh-students-earn-graduate-degrees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/blog\/2014\/06\/09\/website-launched-to-help-dhh-students-earn-graduate-degrees\/","title":{"rendered":"Website launched to help D\/HH students earn graduate degrees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"ccbef602-ca2f-4e8b-bf36-931c8f871ced\">Website<\/span> launched to help D\/HH students earn graduate degrees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Release Date: June 6, 2014<\/p>\n<p>Contact: Greg Livadas<\/p>\n<p>585-475-6217 or Greg.Livadas@rit.edu<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"69a6f6d2-fa00-4d12-959e-208946fb10e8\">Website<\/span> launched for program that helps deaf and hard-of-hearing students earn graduate degrees<\/p>\n<p>Rochester Bridges to the Doctorate program has students <span class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\" id=\"c3efe0c1-6b10-4481-bb45-acc92f03fe80\">in<\/span> RIT\/NTID and UR programs<\/p>\n<p>A website is now available detailing the partnership between Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Rochester that helps deaf and hard-of-hearing students pursue graduate degrees in science programs.<\/p>\n<p>The Rochester Bridges to the Doctorate Program, established this year with a grant from the National Institute for General Medical Sciences, part of the National Institutes of Health, helps eligible students in a master\u2019s program at RIT to prepare and apply for a doctorate level program in behavioral or biomedical science.<\/p>\n<p>The website, <a href=\"http:\/\/deafscientists.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/deafscientists.com\/<\/a>, has been created to help prospective students learn more about the program, mentors, and potential careers in science.<\/p>\n<p>Three students will be selected each year to be Bridges Scholars, with most of their tuitions paid.
