Call for Nominations: Lex Frieden Employment Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you aware of employers, entrepreneurs, dedicated individuals, or local committees or organizations that have gone Above and Beyond the legal requirements to ensure full inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace and in the community?<\/p>\n

If so, please help us acknowledge them with your nomination for our annual Lex Frieden Employment Awards. Deadline for submissions is July 15, 2014.<\/p>\n

The awards are presented in several categories: Small, Medium, Large, and Non-Profit Employers; Entrepreneurship; the Martha Arbuckle award for a local committee project; and The Governor\u2019s Trophy, the highest honor we present to an individual. You can read Submission Guidelines and find the Entry Forms on our LFEA website, or contact me for more details.<\/p>\n

There is NO FEE for submissions. Self-nominations are encouraged as well, so you can also contact the company or individual and make sure they know about the awards program. Will you help us with outreach to make sure that exemplary efforts are acknowledged? Our awards also help provide examples for other employers and organizations, making our state more and more inclusive.<\/p>\n

The Lex Frieden Employment Awards luncheon ceremony will be hosted by the Dallas Mayor\u2019s Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities on Tuesday, October 21. Mark your calendar and details will come soon.<\/p>\n
