SUMMER CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM <\/p>\n
FOR COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS WITH HEARING LOSS <\/p>\n
ROCHESTER, N.Y. \u0014 The Explore Your Future (EYF) program at Rochester
\nInstitute of Technology\u0019s National Technical Institute for the Deaf
\noffers college-bound high school sophomores and juniors with hearing
\nloss a unique opportunity to experience life on a college campus,
\nexplore their interests and sample various careers. <\/p>\n
This six-day, summer career exploration program provides students
\nwith hands-on activities related to careers in engineering, art,
\nbusiness, computers, science and more. Hundreds of students from
\naround the country participate in EYF each year. <\/p>\n
EYF sessions for summer 2008 are July 19 to 24 and July 26 to 31. On
\nthe final day of each session, parents attend a workshop that helps
\nthem prepare their student for life after high school. <\/p>\n

RIT\u0019s National Technical Institute for the Deaf offers educational
\nprograms and access and support services to 1,100 hard-of-hearing and
\ndeaf students who study, live and socialize with 14,700 hearing
\nstudents on RIT\u0019s Rochester, N.Y., campus. In 2006, NTID received the
\nNew Freedom Initiative Award from the U.S. Secretary of Labor
\nrecognizing exemplary and innovative efforts to recruit, hire and
