Odessa, TX – A young man is killed while crossing the street after a
\ntruck crashes into him. <\/p>\n

18 year old James Dale Haney was crossing West County Road a little
\nafter eleven. <\/p>\n

Witnesses say Haney was carrying a bike with him when a truck struck
\nhim. <\/p>\n

Haney was transported to Medical Center where he later died. <\/p>\n

Family members say Haney suffered from profound hearing loss, which
\nmay have contributed to the accident. <\/p>\n

An account has been set up to help the Haney family with funeral
\ncosts at First Basin Credit Union. <\/p>\n
