Bass Anglers,\u00a0 we will once again be hosting the 2nd Annual Junior Anglers Tournament which will take place at Mary Jo Peckham Park in Katy, Texas.\u00a0 The date of this event will be September 20, 2014 from 9 am to 4 pm.<\/p>\n<p>This is an annual event sponsored by many of our valuable contributors.\u00a0 The event is <strong>FREE<\/strong> to all participants. The purpose of this event is to promote an opportunity to\u00a0 all deaf\/Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, Deaf Autism, Child of Deaf Adults, Child of Interpreters, and kids that involves in the deaf communities area where the focus is on them to enjoy fun day of fishing. It is important to educate the knowledge of how to fish, hook and reel. The skills can be taught by their parents, guardians or being trained by our own HBCD Bass Anglers who are the expert in fishing that day. It is a \u201ctournament\u201d where they can catch a lot of fish regardless of the size and have it weigh in and be awarded prizes.<\/p>\n<p>HBCD will be providing 3 age categories of 2-6 \/ 7-14 \/ 15-17 years old.\u00a0 Awards will be given as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each age categories.\u00a0 Lunch will be served as well. Important is for everyone to have FUN!\u00a0 HBCD Bass Anglers believe the kids are of importance because they can develop and bond to the idea of being an expert in the fishing role as they will one day be involved in\u00a0 future tournament.<br \/>\nGo to our website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hbcd1968.org\">www.hbcd1968.org<\/a>) and find the link Jr Angler Tournament. You will find a map to the park where the event will be held, application form,\u00a0 rules of the tournament, a memo and County Park Rules. Please fill out the form and bring to the park at\u00a0 the registration table.<br \/>\nParents are responsible to bring their own rods for their kids.\u00a0 HBCD will supply baits, hooks, pails and bobblers.
