Here are questions for you all.<\/p>\n<p>Are you comfortable to discuss your communication needs with your employer or your doctor?<\/p>\n<p>What about requesting an accommodation (i.e., an interpreter or communication access realtime translation (CART)) in your workplace?<\/p>\n<p>Is this an employer\u2019s obligation to provide a reasonable accommodation?<\/p>\n<p>If at least one of the above answers is either no or \u201cdon\u2019t know\u201d, come to our training to find out and to have fun learning. The training would increase your knowledge of your rights and to empower yourself as an employee, job seeker, or consumer\/patient, who is deaf or hard of hearing. Here are two dates for you to choose whenever works for you.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday afternoon, September 30, 2014<br \/>\n2:00pm to 4:00 pm<br \/>\nOr\u00a0Tuesday evening, September 30, 2014<br \/>\n6:30pm to 8:30pm<\/p>\n<p>WHERE:<br \/>\nCAAG-Austin<br \/>\n1016 La Posada Drive, Suite 142<br \/>\nAustin, Texas 78752<br \/>\n(Bus Route: 320-ST. JOHNS)<\/p>\n<p>Light Refreshments will be provided<\/p>\n<p>Brian Determan, an ASL-user deaf individual, serves as <span id=\"c790961a-ab38-4a5a-aa7a-a19acb9e8a3f\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">Deafness Resource Specialist<\/span>, through <span id=\"7f93c12e-a2c5-46f6-a82b-3b2de2982f73\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">Communication Axess Ability Group<\/span>, for a program funded by Texas DARS (Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services) \u2013 Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. He works with various agencies and service providers regarding their <span id=\"0f73de5c-f61d-44fc-af17-16e073cef965\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">access<\/span> obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act.
