Cub Scouts Group Needs Help Communicating with Deaf Parents<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am the leader of a Cub Scout pack in Kyle, Texas. (Near San Marcos, Texas) This year we have a new boy\u00a0whose parents are deaf. Cub Scouts are very much a family activity and I would like to be able to be sure that this Scout’s parent are included.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, our pack cannot afford to hire an interpreter. I am looking for\u00a0ideas and\/or resources that may be able to help us out. Are there any groups\u00a0that provide interpreting services as a community service? Are there other options that could be considered? Any help you can provide, even if is just to point us\u00a0in the right direction will be appreciated.<\/p>\n
