\"Howard<\/a>Obituary for Howard E. Costello<\/strong><\/p>\n

September 12, 1922 – November 28, 2014<\/p>\n

Howard Edward Costello of Allen, Texas passed away on November 28th, 2014. He was well-loved by many family<\/span> and friends that will miss him dearly.<\/p>\n

He was born on September 12, 1922 in Sidney, Nebraska and raised by his late Uncle John and Aunt Edna Costello. He died peacefully at the age of 92 surrounded by his loving family at UT Southwest Hospital in Dallas.<\/p>\n

Howard is preceded in death by his sister Charlotte Thurston. He is survived by his wife Kathy Costello of Allen, Texas, four stepchildren Larry Smith of Dallas, Texas, Cathy Guthrie of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Lisa Smith of Allen, Texas and Brenda Smith of Richardson, Texas. Six grandchildren Adriana, Chris, Amanda, Stacie, Chance and Taylor and two great grandchildren Ben and McKenzie. Two nephews Howard Thurston and his wife Nancy of Portland, Oregon and Ron Thurston of Shreveport, Louisiana.<\/p>\n

Howard was a graduate of SMU, where he majored in Engineering. He later was employed at the Dallas Times Herald for 38 years. Upon retiring, in 1986, he and his wife spent the majority of their time traveling and enjoying life\u2026<\/span>and each other.<\/p>\n

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered \u201cCome to Me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Howard’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Howard will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.<\/p>\n

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.<\/p>\n
