We work with individuals with disabilities aiding them in returning to the workforce. Some of our clients require the aide of a job coach to help them learn their tasks assigned by the employer or assistance completing documentation.<\/p>\n<p>This is a part time job, as needed, with hours typically in the 15-30 hours a week range. You must be available evenings and weekends, as this is when most of the hours are needed for a job coach. A job coach will usually work when our clients need them, which would require a job coach who is very flexible with scheduling.<\/p>\n<p>**Candidates who know ASL will be given priority consideration.**<\/p>\n<p>Duties:<br \/>\n-Communicate effectively with work site supervisor to ensure clients&#8217; understanding of company policies and procedures and of the essential job requirements for each client.<br \/>\n-Work side-by-side with each assigned client to help them with job duties, company policies and procedures and proper work behaviors.<br \/>\n-Keep employer informed of each client&#8217;s progress and possible issues that need to be resolved.<br \/>\n-Document in daily notes each client&#8217;s progress and issues.<br \/>\n-Help each client complete required forms and time-sheets.<br \/>\n-Attend scheduled meetings and staffing&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>H.S. graduation or GED required. One year&#8217;s experience working with at-risk youth and\/or people with disabilities or related conditions; or one year&#8217;s worth of college course work in social services, education, or related field required. Must have a valid TX driver&#8217;s license and a reliable vehicle. Will travel throughout the Bexar County area (primarily within San Antonio city limits).<\/p>\n<p>The candidate selected must be able to successfully complete the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Job Coach training program within two weeks of hire.
