The position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Video Interpreting Services alongside close collaboration with the Manager of Marketing and Outreach Services.<\/p>\n<p>Essential Functions &amp; Duties:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Provide support and customer services to Customer Care line<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Address VRS consumers\u2019 questions, comments, complaints, concerns, and technical issues<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Register VRS consumers and create\/maintain systems to track consumer records<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Conduct VRS platform installations as directed<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Engage with marketing and outreach efforts through calls, e-mails, social media, etc.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Attend VRS community, marketing, and outreach events by representing our VRS department<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Recruiting VRS consumers<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Provide support to VRS Interpreters in addressing VRS consumer issues<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Provide support to VRS Management Team as well as Marketing &amp; Outreach Management Team<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Other duties as assigned<\/p>\n<p>Qualified VRS Customer Care &amp; Outreach Specialist shall have as a minimum:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to communicate effectively in a conversational mode utilizing various forms of manual communication including American Sign Language (ASL) as well as other prevalent sign systems<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledgeable of Video Relay Services, FCC regulations, as well as company policies and procedures<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Working knowledge of Deafness, Deaf Culture, and Deaf Community<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work effectively in teamed situations<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Good written and interpersonal communication skills<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum of high school diploma, GED, or equivalent<\/p>\n<p>Preferred:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 Associate\u2019s degree<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 One year of customer service experience<\/p>\n<p>Location: Houston, Texas<br \/>\nStatus: Regular, Full-Time (40 hours)<br \/>\nSalary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package.<br \/>\nExpected Start Date: TBD; Open until filled<\/p>\n<p>Resumes will be accepted until Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
