Hello Parents, Friends, and Supporters of TSD!<\/p>\n

We are having another budget hearing at the State Capitol on Monday, Feburary 9, 2015 with the Senate Finance Committee. We need parents and alumnus to show up to show support.<\/p>\n

Texas School for the Deaf needs your support. Please show up at the State Capitol this Monday at 11 AM. We need more bodies to fill the room to show them our support against possible budget cuts to the school. Even though TSD is growing in numbers of students, the budget doesn’t increase.<\/p>\n

We have already picked some parents to testify so you don’t have to testify. We just need more “bodies” to fill the room to show them that we care.<\/p>\n

They are always trying to find reasons to cut budgets anywhere, so we need to show up and show them that TSD is the best school for our kids here and that we don’t deserve any budget cuts.<\/p>\n

Bobbie Beth Scoggins TSD Alumna, PTSO, and I as the PTSO Legislative Liaison, are working together to prepare for this Monday. We have 5 parents ready to testify, but we need people to fill the room.<\/p>\n

A friendly reminder: TSD Staff on pay cannot attend unless they take a vacation leave.<\/p>\n
