St. Joseph beats Texas School for the Deaf<\/p>\n

AUSTIN – Alec Castilleja returned an interception 23 yards to set up a St. Joseph score and help the Eagles to a 33-14 victory over Texas School for the Deaf on Friday.<\/p>\n

St. Joseph was leading 19-14 in the fourth quarter when Castilleja grabbed the interception that set up Blake Stone’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Blake Lipscomb with 6:03 left.<\/p>\n

St. Joseph’s Chris Alejandro added a 10-yard touchdown run to put the game out of reach.<\/p>\n

Alejandro rushed for 188 yards on 31 carries and also scored on a 34-yard run early in the third quarter.<\/p>\n

St. Joseph’s Chad Peavey also connected on four field goals, including three in the first half from 25, 30 and 19 yards out to give the Eagles a 9-8 halftime lead. Peavey also hit a 30-yarder in the second half and kicked three extra points.<\/p>\n

St. Joseph (2-0) will face Baytown Christian next Friday at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
