Part-time American Sign Language Teacher \/ Mentor Job – Houston<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fusion Academy American Sign Language Teacher<\/p>\n

Our Fusion Houston Galleria campus has an opening for a part-time American Sign Language Teacher. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required for consideration, as well as a higher level ASL background. Teaching credentials are a plus but are not mandatory. Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is a plus as well as mentoring experience. Our ideal candidate is an outgoing, well organized, competent in basic computer skills, and is an individual who is eager to work in a highly dynamic, energetic school setting.<\/p>\n

This position provides a one-to-one teaching experience in the areas of American Sign Language at grade levels 6th- 12th. Subject matter knowledge in a majority of these areas must be solid; candidate must be prepared to teach and tutor material at a high school level immediately. In addition to subject matter tutoring and teaching, this position includes significant student mentoring.<\/p>\n
