{"id":30770,"date":"2015-05-18T05:39:02","date_gmt":"2015-05-18T10:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/?p=30770"},"modified":"2015-05-18T05:42:27","modified_gmt":"2015-05-18T10:42:27","slug":"deaf-club-raises-money-for-hearing-aids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/blog\/2015\/05\/18\/deaf-club-raises-money-for-hearing-aids\/","title":{"rendered":"Deaf Club raises money for hearing aids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Deaf Club raises money for hearing aids<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KVUE<\/p>\n<p>May 17, 2015<\/p>\n<p>AUSTIN &#8212; Run to Hear 5K is being held Lake Pflugerville next weekend at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative was started by three friends who grew up together with a hearing disability.<\/p>\n<p>Bridget Black, one of the founders of the race, joined KVUE to talk about him and his friends, the race and how it came about.<\/p>\n<p>The Run to Hear 5K raises money for Any Baby Can&#8217;s Children Hearing Aids of Texas (CHAT) Program and the Dallas Hearing Foundation. Any Baby Can&#8217;s chief communications officer John Branham also joined KVUE to talk about the number of Texas children with a hearing disability and how hearing aids can affect families.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for the Run to Hear 5K is now open.
