Wow, we are about to have our goal met soon, but I would love for all of us to continue donating after that. Sabrina and her family need a whole lot more than that! You have proven me there’s a lot of love within our Deaf Community!<\/p>\n

Reaching our goal will have no effect on my campaign’s ability to continue accepting donations. I will keep my campaign up and running as long as I\u2019d like, and the progress meter on my campaign will show that we have received more than our goal amount.<\/p>\n

Sabrina Blount is a victim of a violent crime. On April 7, 2015, two men, who she thought were her friends, drove her from Fayetteville to Raleigh (North Carolina) against her will. They got her drunk and drugged her, then raped her. Not only that, they drove their vehicle over her body twice in a parking lot then left her there alone. Four weeks later, she is still hospitalized. She will have surgeries because almost all of her organs are involved in the damage. Her mother has lost her job and house because she has to take care of her. Sabrina has an 18 month old baby who is being taken care of by her grandmother for now.
