Interpreter Liaison Position at Texas State University – San Marcos<\/p>\n
The Office of Disability Services at Texas State University-San
\nMarcos is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time
\nposition of Liaison Interpreter (LI). The LI will provide
\ninterpreting services approximately 60% time for deaf and hard of
\nhearing students. <\/p>\n
The remaining 40% time the LI will educate deaf and hard of hearing
\nstudents on the use of interpreters and accessing accommodations;
\ncoordinate and provide additional support services for Deaf and hard
\nof hearing students; serve as a community contact person for general
\ninformation related to deafness; conduct Communication Modes
\ninterviews with D\/HH students to establish their communication needs
\nand preferences; and assist the Interpreter Coordinator with the site
\ncoordination and LTA for RID written & performance testing. <\/p>\n
