{"id":31318,"date":"2015-07-08T13:34:38","date_gmt":"2015-07-08T18:34:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/?p=31318"},"modified":"2015-07-12T00:32:44","modified_gmt":"2015-07-12T05:32:44","slug":"texas-womans-university-presents-a-free-deaf-education-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deafnetwork.com\/wordpress\/blog\/2015\/07\/08\/texas-womans-university-presents-a-free-deaf-education-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas Woman&#8217;s University Presents a Free Deaf Education Seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Texas Woman&#8217;s University Presents a Free Deaf Education Seminar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hello from Texas Woman\u2019s University!\u00a0 Would you share this invitation with your students\/Colleagues to come join us at TWU for a free deaf education seminar?<\/p>\n<p>This is a personal invitation to you to join us for our first TWU Deaf Education Forum, \u201cTeachers Leading Teachers\u201d, on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 8:30 to 4:00.\u00a0 The job of teaching deaf and hard of hearing students is both rewarding and challenging.\u00a0 Our goal is to equip you with practical strategies and to inspire you with stories of success from teachers.\u00a0 Our hope is to host this forum biannually, alternating with the Statewide Conference on Deaf Education, and we want to include you in this inaugural session.<\/p>\n<p>Our keynote speaker, Dr. Curt Radford from Utah State University.\u00a0 Dr. Radford brings broad professional experiences as a classroom teacher, principal, and award-winning teaching of ASL in the online format, as well as the lived experience of a student in a school for the deaf.\u00a0 His positive and practice-based message will set the stage for our forum, and will be followed by breakout sessions presented by classroom teachers directly from the field on topics that are relevant to your practice.
