Thousands of Austin area students need one or more vaccines required for school entry.\u00a0 With recent changes in the state&#8217;s immunization requirements for college students, that number may be even higher.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, the Austin\/Travis County Health and Human Services Department&#8217;s Shots for Tots and Big Shots Program wants to remind parents and students that now is the best time to get needed vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>Many students may not have a doctor or insurance.
