TAD Presidential Interview on TAD Website Now! <\/p>\n
Thanks to Travis County Services for the Deaf With Travis County
\nChannel 17 Media and Doug Rollins, host\/producer of Austin Deaf
\nWorld, and Grant Laird, Jr., of Crazy Technologies LLC, visitors to
\nthe Texas Association of the Deaf\u0019s own popular homepage can watch
\nRollins interview Steve Baldwin, president of TAD. <\/p>\n
The interview-type show was taped last November, but the information
\nis very contemporary and contains historical information about TAD,
\nits social impact and its growing membership, which now has 425
\nmembers, albeit 300 registered people to the e-newsletter on the
\nwebsite. President Baldwin touches on an upcoming national conference
\nthat is being hosted by TAD, Texas School for the Deaf and National
\nAssociation of the Deaf from April 3 to 5, 2008, in Austin. National
\nLeadership Training Conference will train about 120 participants from
\nall over the country. <\/p>\n
Viewers of the interview will occasionally experience temporary
\nfreeze frames, which will only last a few seconds, so do not adjust
\nyour computer, laptop or keyboard. All one has to do is to click on
\nthe screen to continue the show. <\/p>\n
TAD has been in constant existence since 1886 and advocates for the
\nrights of deaf and hard of hearing citizens in Texas. Many successful
\nbills in the past have made TAD one of the most effective state
\nassociations in the country. Social and economical lives of deaf and
\nhard of hearing people in Texas have improved the last 30 years.
\nAdditionally, TAD is affiliated with National Association of the
\nDeaf, which was founded in 1880. <\/p>\n
