Beach in Fort Worth, Texas. Community Invited. \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Today, we celebrate the life of our dear friend and family member, MILDRED WOOD. Mildred, our beloved family member and friend, age 103 years, 1 month, and 26 days, passed from this life to be with our blessed Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Mildred was born on May 19, 1912.\u00a0 She was born in\u00a0 Aquila, Texas. She was superseded in death by her husband, Howard Wood, and her son, Joe Wood.<\/p>\n<p>Mildred is survived by her wonderful family: two daughters, Peggy Brown and Patsy Norris; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two sisters. Mildred was a beloved Christian wife and mother.\u00a0 She has given so much to all of us who knew her.<\/p>\n<p>Howard and Mildred Wood were part of the first three Deaf couples who moved to DEAF, inc. at Westchester Plaza in September 1989, prior to its official opening in October 2, 1989. She moved to DEAF, inc. at Heritage Square with us when the official move was made.<\/p>\n<p>Mildred has been a part of the DEAF, inc. Family since our beginning in 1989.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>She was a part of the DEAF, inc. Family for 25 years, 10 months, and 16 days. \u00a0The Lord used Mildred to encourage the founding of New Life Deaf Fellowship Church, the only DEAF CHURCH in the DFW Metroplex.Mildred will always remain a part of our DEAF, inc. Family forever. We will truly miss her.The Family had a private graveside service Monday, July 20, 2015 at 9:00am at Moore Memorial Gardens.
