Special news \u00e2\u20ac\u201c this Saturday, the GT Austin Deaf Ministries are
\nplanning a special event for all to come and enjoy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 <\/p>\n
“DEAF MINISTRY FAMILY FUN DAY” – This is a time to bring your whole
\nfamily to a potluck picnic and have some Christian fun! <\/p>\n
Next Saturday, March 29th, 2008 <\/p>\n
2:00 PM \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 7:00 PM (show up any time) <\/p>\n
We will eat supper together there about 5:30 PM. <\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Beverly S. Sheffield Park\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Area B picnic tables are reserved
\nby GT Austin. (This park’s old name was “Northwest District Park”.)
\nThis area can hold about 50 people — it is near playground and
\nrestrooms. It is located at 7000 Ardath St. (near Burnet Road, north
\nof 2222). Directions – On Burnet Road, drive to Pegram\/Justin. Go west
\non Pegram only 2 blocks. Turn right on Ardath. You will see park on
\nleft side. At the park, stay on main road and drive all the way around
\nto back side, then park your car near the playground. <\/p>\n
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE PARK? <\/p>\n
— Each family brings a large potluck dish to share at supper with
\nall people. <\/p>\n
— Bring your own drinks and snacks for your family. <\/p>\n
— Bring your family members, and tell your friends to come and bring
\nfood too! <\/p>\n
— Bring game equipment (basketball, football, tennis rackets\/balls),
\nkites, frisbees, etc. <\/p>\n
— If you want, bring sunscreen and lawn chairs for yourself and
\nothers. <\/p>\n
— No alcohol or drugs are allowed there. No loud music. <\/p>\n
— Pets are welcome, but must stay on a leash. <\/p>\n
This is planned to be a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153kite-flying day\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on the large grassy
\narea for kids and family members. Also there are two playgrounds,
\nbasketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, a small pond, and
\nmuch more! We will chat and have fun in a Christian way. At supper
\ntime about 5:30 PM, GT Austin (Church of Glad Tidings) will provide
\nthe meat — hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken for the BBQ grill. This
\nis a great afternoon to get to know each other in a fun environment.
\nInvite your Deaf\/HH friends to come! Please be fair to everyone and
\nbring enough potluck food to share (not just one bag of chips from
\nyour whole family)…smile. This is not just GT Austin Deaf Ministry
\npeople \u00e2\u20ac\u201c some other church groups and individuals are planning to
\ncome. Plan to use ASL as the primary language there! Parents \u00e2\u20ac\u201c
\nplease be responsible and help us watch the kids, so all persons can
\nhave an enjoyable time! <\/p>\n

\nhow many in your family, and which potluck dish you will bring (so we
\ndon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have a lot of the same things, and church needs to know how
\nmuch meat to buy…smile). <\/p>\n
