James Yevich will be a first Deaf runner to run 200 miles nonstop in the world!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am James Yevich from Fort Worth, Texas, no casual runner. I am what’s called an “ultra-runner” and I was also born deaf. I love to keep running forever. I will run for Deaf Film Camp.<\/p>\n

Deaf Film Camp is a two-week, summer experience for deaf and hard-of-hearing teens looking to pursue a filmmaking career. It takes place at Camp Mark Seven, located in the Adirondacks in Old Forge, NY. You can help a deaf teenager pursue a career in filmmaking by directly supporting a camper. All donations to Deaf Film Camp will benefit the operation and activity fees of the two-week session. They made an ASL interpretation of Pharrell Williams’s “Happy” video. The video was produced by a team of Deaf campers & staff from Deaf Film Camp 2014 at Camp Mark Seven. The video already spread via TV news.<\/p>\n

I completed running 100 miles for 24 hours in Connecticut in October 2012. It was one of my dreams. It was very successful. I never forget. I did run through rain showers, lightning, fog and some ankle pain. The weather wasn’t great, but it was a great experience. I wasn’t going to let it stop me and I kept focusing on my going forward and moving ahead. If it has been a sunny, beautiful day, it wouldn’t have had the same experience. I credited my team, who followed me along the way, as a big part of my success. My team was encouraging me and coaching me along the way. It was very emotional at the end and the team all came together and embraced me.<\/p>\n

I would like to make another goal this year. It is one of my dreams. I would like to run 200 miles for 48-50 hours. I will start to run in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday, November 12, 2015 and I will arrive in Austin, Texas on Saturday, November 14, 2015. I will be first deaf runner to run 200 miles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Need money for pairs of running sneakers, running clothes, rental RV for the crew team, gas transportation, energy foods, waters, flashlights for night, massage therapist, etc. Then donate to Deaf Film Camp.<\/p>\n
