Essential Job Functions <\/p>\n
Provides paraprofessional social services support services assisting
\nclients and other social services staff. Screens clients to assess
\ntheir social services needs. Organizes case files and other materials
\nand resources for social services staff. Interviews clients, collects
\ndata and determines clients potential eligibility for assistance based
\non a variety of services, regulations and procedures. Provides clients
\nand potential clients with program information. Assigns clients to
\nappropriate caseworker or other social services staff and refers
\nclients to appropriate internal and external social services programs.
\nAnswers telephone inquiries concerning program functions and
\ndocumentation requirements. Performs administrative duties such as
\npreparing correspondence, processing incoming mail for case files,
\nfiling and ordering and stocking supplies and\/or food pantry items for
\nclients. Enters data into the computer system to record information.
\nAssists in compiling, monitoring, documenting and maintaining
\nstatistical and other information and records. <\/p>\n
Qualification Requirements <\/p>\n
Education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree in one
\nof the social or behavioral sciences AND one (1) year experience in
\nsocial services with a high level of client contact. <\/p>\n
License: <\/p>\n
*Possession of a valid Texas Driver’s License may be required. <\/p>\n
Required: Fluency in American Sign Language <\/p>\n
Preferred: Six (6) months lead or supervisory experience <\/p>\n
Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM <\/p>\n
Work site: 2201 Post Road<\/p>\n
