It is free training!<\/p>\n<p>The Houston Center for Independent Living (HCIL) is providing its office and staff to assist in the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training for the Harris County Corp for Deaf and Hard of hearing who are interested in becoming an integral part of the County\u2019s emergency preparedness planning. <strong>The training will begin on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 through November 21st, 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in this training and becoming part of Houston\u2019s Deaf leadership in community emergency response, please contact Darla Connor. They provide CERT backpacks, kits, equipment, and certificates of completion for each participant who officially registers.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your willingness to learn and serve the Harris County community as well as our Deaf and Hard of hearing community by your interest and participation.
