A Message from the DAD President Cathy Edler-Ashley <\/p>\n
Hello Members and Friends of DAD: <\/p>\n
Some of you may be wondering and waiting for my monthly message, well
\nI have been on a two weeks vacation in Florida. Ah, it sure is nice
\nhaving a mental and physical relaxation time. Believe it or not, we
\nhave been sleeping at least 8 to 9 hours in the last few days! As
\nFlorida being \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sunshine State\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, we were able to grab some sun rays
\nat the beach. <\/p>\n
Preston and I had a fabulous time with my sister and her family in
\nOrlando area last week. We were able to rent a house for a week at the
\nsame price if we stayed a hotel. The big PLUS of renting this house
\nwas having our \u00e2\u20ac\u0153own\u00e2\u20ac\u009d pool right in the back door! We also saved
\nsome budget by cooking our meals at the house. I thought I shall share
\nour experience in case any of you plan to go Orlando one day in near
\nfuture. All information can be found off the internet, which you need
\ntake time and patience to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153hit\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the right time, price and
\nlocation. <\/p>\n
This week, we are spending time with my best friend from my college
\nyears. She was kind enough to open the doors to us, her words would be
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153rolling the red carpet\u00e2\u20ac\u009d out for us. Preston was able to see his
\nfriends when he lived here a few years ago. <\/p>\n
All right now back to DAD business: <\/p>\n
Needlessly to say that DAD Clubhouse was a bit quiet last month due
\nto Spring Breaks happening during the past few weeks. <\/p>\n
We have four special events this month which you may want to attend,
\n3rd Annual Poker Tourney, Emergency Preparedness Workshop, ASL
\nFilms\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Forget Me Not\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and Ladies Poker Nite. See below for more
\ninformation. <\/p>\n
April 4 – Prime Time Sign Time (8:00 PM) <\/p>\n
April 5 – 3rd Annual DAD Poker Tournament (11:00 AM) <\/p>\n
April 11 – Pizza provided by DeafLink (7:00 PM) <\/p>\n
April 11 – Emergency Preparedness Workshop (7:30 PM) <\/p>\n
April 12 – ASL Films’ Forgot Me Not (1:00 PM) <\/p>\n
April 12 – ASL Films’ Forgot Me Not (800 PM) <\/p>\n
April 18 – DAD General Meeting (7:30 PM) <\/p>\n
April 19 – CINGO (8:30 PM) <\/p>\n
April 25 – Open Social <\/p>\n
April 26 – Ladies Poker Nite (7:00 PM) (flyer will be distributed
