Director of Operations is responsible for the successful and profitable management of a dynamic program; ensuring services are provided with maximum quality and efficiency. Director of Operations also provides agency-wide leadership. SAI is an agency headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. SAI works in a fast paced environment and industry.<\/p>\n<p>Essential Job Functions:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>? Develops and implements Marketing Plan to expand customer base.<br \/>\n? Builds and maintains customer relationships and partnerships; develops leads and pursues business opportunities<br \/>\n? Monitors developments and trends in the field, responding to emerging needs<br \/>\n? Maintains community relations (Deaf and interpreting communities.) Solicits input\/feedback and ensures customer satisfaction<br \/>\n? Provides information regarding program\/agency\/interpreting field, including presentations<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program and Contract Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>? Collects and analyzes program statistics<br \/>\n? Develops and maintains policies needed for smooth operations<br \/>\n? Prepares and monitors the program budget<br \/>\n? Act as POC and maintains contract compliance with a variety of state, federal and private contracts. Provides regular reporting as required<br \/>\n? Responds to RFPs and bids as needed<br \/>\n? Other duties as assigned<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supervision\/Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>? Supervises\/evaluates administrative staff (finance, operations and interpreter supervisor)<br \/>\n? Maintains a sufficient pool of qualified interpreting staff and independent subcontractors to include Deaf Support Specialists.<br \/>\n? Acts as Manager On Duty (MOD) to troubleshoot staff needs after hours on a rotating basis.<br \/>\n? Monitors interpreting pool, approving leave while maintaining sufficient staff resources<br \/>\n? Works with HR regarding hiring, firing and disciplinary actions as needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interpreting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>? Responsible for coverage of State contract interpreting during business hours<br \/>\n? Available for on-demand, back up or emergency interpretation as needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills\/Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>? Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal (English and ASL) and written.<br \/>\n? Minimum of two years\u2019 experience with supervision<br \/>\n? Ability to provide positive leadership to a diverse workforce<br \/>\n? Ability to analyze business metrics to determine program efficiency<br \/>\n? RID\/BEI Certified Interpreter with at least 5 years post certification interpreting experience<br \/>\n? Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding language access for deaf people<br \/>\n? Fluency with a variety of computer programs\/software used for scheduling and data\u00a0collection (or ability to learn)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education\/Licenses\/Certificates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>? Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)<br \/>\n? Bachelor\u2019s Degree \u2013 interpreting or business related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>?
