Reverend Clifton Lee Bryant, Sr. was born May 25, 1933 in Repton, Alabama to the late Georgia Stots and Calvin Bryant. After a long battle with an illness, he was called home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2015. He leaves a loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Corine Bryant. To this union was born three children,Clifton Jr., Sandra and Calvin.<\/p>\n

Rev. Bryant was a 1955 graduate of Talladega School for the Deaf in Talladega, Alabama. In 1961 he received a certificate in Religious Education. At the age of 72 he received an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration certificate from Bishop State Community College. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age. He became a devoted member of Stone Street Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia Stots and Calvin Bryant, Two sisters; Claudia (Peg) Knight and Margaret (Jessie ) Dailey and One brother Robert Stots.<\/p>\n

His loving disposition, unforgettable smile, kindness and unselfish generosity will be missed and remembered by his loving children, son, Clifton Bryant Jr (Trina) of Dallas, Texas; daughter Sandra Lake (Willie) of Oak Park, Illinois; son, Calvin Spencer Bryant of Mobile, Alabama; sister Loree Brown (Lewis) of Robertsdale, Alabama; brother, James Stots (Inez) of Loxley, Alabama; Three granddaughters: Vanessa Laird (Granger) of Dallas, Texas; Brittany and Ariel Hawthrone of Dallas, Texas; Four grandsons: Jason Moreno (Katherine) of Grandbury, Texas; Sylvester Bryant of Fresno, California; David and Daniel Lake of Oak Park, Illinois. Two brother in laws: Joseph Donaldson (Aerial) of Mobile, Alabama; Franklin Donaldson (Carolyn) of Desoto,Texas; a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.<\/p>\n

Visitation Friday, November 6, 2015 5-7pm Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and Sat. Nov. 7, 2015 9-11am funeral hour Stone Street Baptist Church. Rev. Milton Saffold, officiating. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL 36617.<\/p>\n
