RIT offers math competition for deaf or hard-of-hearing middle-school students<\/strong>
\nDeadline to register is December 15, 2015 for April competition<\/strong><\/p>\n

Middle-school students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing can participate in Rochester Institute of Technology\u2019s ninth annual Math Competition, April 8\u201310, 2016, at RIT\u2019s National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, N.Y. The competition is open to sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students.<\/p>\n

The competition is designed to promote math as fun and engaging and features three rounds that test speed and accuracy, teamwork and math skills.<\/p>\n

Coaches and students can find the registration form and more information online at http:\/\/www.rit.edu\/NTID\/mathcompetition<\/a>. There is a $90 registration fee for each team of four students and a $25 registration fee for students who register individually. Registration deadline is Dec. 15. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend the competition, which also provides students with a schedule of social activities.<\/p>\n
