AHEAD 24th Annual Conference 2016 – Austin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello AHEAD in Texas members!<\/p>\n

This is a reminder that the Call for Proposals is open for the AHEAD in Texas 24th annual conference. The conference, Capturing our Capital; 25 years of the ADA, will be held in Austin, TX on April 13-15th 2016.<\/p>\n

We are seeking pre-conference and concurrent session proposals. If you are interested in presenting but are unsure about what topics to consider, the attached submission form has several suggestions.<\/p>\n

Please submit the attached proposal submission form by December 18th to Larry Phillippe at larry.phillippe@ttu.edu.<\/p>\n

The Association on Higher Education and Disability in Texas (AHEAD in Texas) is a regional affiliate of AHEAD. AHEAD in Texas operates a non-profit, 501c3 association consisting primarily of disability service providers in higher education. The primary purpose of the organization is to provide leadership to service providers working at post-secondary institutions in Texas. This leadership is provided by fostering educational and professional development opportunities, as well as professional networking for regional disability services providers and others interested in disability-related issues.<\/p>\n

Members of AHEAD in Texas includes current and former disability service providers as well as others interested in disability-related issues such as vocational rehabilitation counselors, other higher education staff members, students, advocates, and parents.<\/p>\n

AHEAD in Texas was created for professionals in Texas but membership is open and available to disability service providers in neighboring states including Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
