TxDOT to hold meeting for elderly and disabled needs in Mesquite on

MESQUITE – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold a
\nSection 5310 Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities
\npublic meeting at 10 a.m., Friday, April 25, at 4777 E. Highway 80,
\nMesquite. <\/p>\n
Public transportation services will be discussed for the elderly and
\nindividuals with disabilities in seven counties: Dallas, Collin,
\nDenton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro and Rockwall. The meeting is held
\nannually to educate, inform and to seek comments from the public.
\nThrough comments from the public TxDOT hopes to develop more
\ncost-effective services that will improve their quality of
\ntransportation and to serve their transit needs. <\/p>\n
The public meeting will be conducted in English, but any requests for
\nlanguage interpreters or other special communication needs will be
\nconsidered. Persons with disabilities planning to attend who require
\nauxiliary aids or services such as interpreters for the hearing
\nimpaired, readers, or Braille, should contact Anne Polk at (214)
\n320-6153 at least two work days prior to the meeting. <\/p>\n
