NAD Position Announcement- Web Administrator<\/p>\n
Silver Spring, MD \u00e2\u20ac\u201c The National Association of the Deaf (NAD)
\nseeks a dynamic, inquisitive, and analytical person to become part of
\nits Communications team as Web Administrator \u00e2\u20ac\u201c who will manage the
\ntechnical aspects of the Association\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s content management system
\nwith primary responsibility for database maintenance and ongoing
\nupgrades.<\/p>\n
Key duties include:<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Manage and maintain web-based content management system, including
\ndatabase processes, communication tools, commerce applications,
\ncommunity-building features and reporting functions;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Design web pages and forms with programming, as needed;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Develop web content, with editorial responsibilities;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Provide first level user support;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Produce and edit videos for v\/blogs;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Troubleshoot hardware and software issues;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Generate customized reports and queries;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Provide support to Communications team members; and<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Other duties as assigned<\/p>\n
Position requirements:<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Bachelor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s degree in information technology, web design or
\nprogramming, or related field;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Equivalent of two years\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 relevant experience (cooperative or
\ninternship experience may be included) using data-driven applications,
\ncontent management systems, and network technologies;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Expertise in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, ASP, and PHP, Sorenson
\nSqueeze, and Adobe Creative Suite and Premiere.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Demonstrated content management and network administration skills;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Demonstrated web design and video editing skills;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Familiarity with WC3 and federal accessibility guidelines;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Excellent attention to detail, with ability to multi-task amid
\nshifting priorities;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills;<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2Fluency in American Sign Language with knowledge of deaf culture
\nand heritage.<\/p>\n
