The program specialist maintains current information regarding state and federal regulations as well as best practices concerning the rights of persons with disabilities and accessibility. Gathers, analyzes and concisely summarizes and reports information regarding accessibility and disability rights and related laws. Develops and produces informational handouts, brochures and other written content. Actively tracks and reports on legislation and industry trends. Writes, delivers and\/or prepares well-researched speeches on complex disabilities laws, issues, programs and trends. Effectively interacts with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinators, businesses, governmental entities and the general public as required to accomplish the goals and objectives of this position. Works closely with other Governor\u2019s Committee on People with Disabilities programs. Demonstrates computer proficiency relative to all assigned responsibilities.
