The University seeks a person with high energy, enthusiasm and vision to work within the department that is in the process of programmatic expansion. The Department offers coursework at the undergraduate level in the area of American Sign Language (BA-ASL).<\/p>\n<p>At the graduate level the department has a Master\u2019s degree in Deaf Studies\/Deaf Education, with a thesis track in Deaf Studies. These programs are hybrid programs, meeting face-to-face on weekends with on-line work as well. At the Doctoral level, the department has a long standing Ed.D. in Deaf Studies and Deaf Education, which is being revamped into a Ph.D. with two tracks; one in High Education Instruction and a second in Educational Leadership. In addition the BA and MS areas offer coursework leading to teacher certification.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will possess strong teaching, research, and writing skills. The candidate must possess strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills with demonstrated work experiences with colleagues exhibiting positive collegiality.
