Job Opportunity: TESD Deafblind Trainer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Travis Association for the Blind<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Train new Deafblind employee on all duties\/responsibilities
\nProvide orientation and exposure of Lighthouse positions (cross-training)
\nEffectively monitor and record evaluations for trainees in a timely manner
\nSchedule training or retrain employees as requested by department supervisor
\nComplete and maintain all departmental forms for T.E.S.D.
\nBe active in the day-to-day business of the Warehouse Shipping Department
\nAssist with communication needs identified for Deafblind employees
\nPerform other duties as requested<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Verifiable High School diploma or GED equivalent
\nUS citizen or verifiable documentation of ability work in the US.
\nAble to read and interpret any documentation related to the function of the position.
\nModerate understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel (Jaws and Zoom Text are available)
\nExperience in a warehouse environment
\nAbility to communicate effectively written, verbal, ASL or alternate mode of communication system<\/p>\n

PREFERRED REQUIRMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

3 years of work experience in Deafblind related field preferred
\nBilingual a plus
\nFluent in American Sign Language (ASL)<\/p>\n
