\nGore\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153An Inconvenient Truth\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, uncovers scientific issues and
\nfacts detailing the global climate crisis and offers solutions to curb
\nthis alarming trend. <\/p>\n
Porche, 28 has presented on this controversial subject to audiences
\nacross the country, which fast-forwarded to the media forefront in
\n2006 following the release of Gore\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Academy Award winning film. <\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Climate Project (TCP)\u00e2\u20ac\u009d consists of over 1,000 dedicated
\nvolunteers from throughout the United States, like Porche, who are
\ntrained to educate the public about climate change. TCP aims to raise
\nawareness of fellow citizens about this crisis and inform communities
\nabout potential solutions and actions one can take to preserve the
\nclimate balance on which our planet depends. Porche\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s involvement
\nbegan after first seeing Gore\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s documentary himself. He felt an
\nimmediate urgency and was then inspired to act and help spread the
\nmessage to educate the public. <\/p>\n
The Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) is proud to host Mr. Porche\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s
\npresentation, open to the public, on April 22 at 10:00 AM, in American
\nSign Language (ASL), and voice interpreted for all audiences. Ashley
\nOrtego, Staff Development and Certification Specialist at TSD, who has
\narranged for Porche\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s visit, says \u00e2\u20ac\u0153TSD feels it is of critical
\nimportance to bring this message to students and the community at
\nlarge so we can all learn what we can do, even in our daily lives, to
\nbe an active contributor for positive global change.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/p>\n
