Presenter: Brian East, Senior Attorney, Advocacy, Inc. <\/p>\n
Brian East graduated from UT Law School in 1977. He worked at Legal
\nAid for two years, and in private practice for 14 years, before
\njoining Advocacy, Inc., the Texas “protection and advocacy”
\norganization. Brian has handled a number of disability discrimination
\nand disability rights cases in state and federal court, and has
\nwritten and lectured extensively on these issues. Brian is currently a
\nBoard Member of both the Texas Employment Lawyers Association and the
\nNational Employment Lawyers Association, and has served on the Legal
\nCommittee of the National Disability Rights Network. He is also the
\nco-author and editor of the chapter on “Workers with Disabilities” in
\nthe Employee & Union Member Guide to Labor Law (Thompson\/West 2007). <\/p>\n
