Hurst, Texas, July 2, 2007 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Artisan Center Theater proudly
\npresents THE FOREIGNER at Artisan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 150 seat theater-in-the-round.
\nThe theater is located in the historic Belaire Plaza at 420 E.
\nPipeline Road. The daytime box office is located at 418. E. Pipeline
\nRoad. The show runs April 25 through Saturday May 17, 2008.
\nPerformances are at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and
\nSaturday nights with 3pm matinees on Saturdays May 3, 10, and 17.
\nReserved seating tickets are $15.00 for adults, $13.00 for students
\nand seniors, and $8.00 for children 12 and under. Monday, Tuesday, and
\nThursday tickets are $11.00 and can be made by calling 817-284-1200.

This production wil be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing
\nby Tarrant County College Practicum students Angela Brown and Bill
\nBaker on April 28, 2008. <\/p>\n
About the Play: <\/p>\n
The play starts at a fishing lodge in rural Georgia which is often
\nvisited by “Froggy” LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who
\noccasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time
\n“Froggy” has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man
\nnamed Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making
\nconversation with strangers. So “Froggy,” before departing, tells all
\nassembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no
\nEnglish. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more
\nthan he should\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthe evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and
\nhis redneck associate along with many other damaging revelations made
\nwith the thought that Charlie doesn’t understand a word being said.
\nThat he does hear, fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play and sets up
\nthe wildly funny climax in which things go uproariously awry for the
\n“bad guys,” and the “good guys” emerge triumphant. <\/p>\n
About the Director: <\/p>\n
Dan Nolen, Jr. has worked and volunteered in several area theaters
\nincluding Theatre Three, Theatre Arlington, ONSTAGE, Runway,
\nLewisville Community, Theatre Coppell, and Main Street. He has been
\ndirectly involved with over 25 productions at Artisan. He was awarded
\none of the Live Theatre League Outstanding Achievement Award for
\n2006-2007. <\/p>\n
