The core functions within the transformed HHS structure are:<\/p>\n<p>Medical and Social Services<br \/>\nRegulatory Services<br \/>\nFacility Operations<br \/>\nDepartment of Family and Protective Services<br \/>\nDepartment of State Health Services<\/p>\n<p>Administrative supports for these core functions include:<\/p>\n<p>Information Technology<br \/>\nSystem Support Services<br \/>\nInternal Audit<br \/>\nCommunications, Press Relations, Stakeholder &amp; Government Relations and Ombudsman Functions<br \/>\nFinancial Services<br \/>\nLegal Services<br \/>\nProcurement and Contracting Services<\/p>\n<p>The transition plan includes a section related to the eight DARS programs transferring to HHSC, and the four DARS programs transferring to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) September 1, 2016.
