Both positions support our statewide training efforts in Texas. We provide training to consumers, interpreters, service providers, and businesses.<\/p>\n

Communication Access Oversight Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Communication Access Oversight Specialist is hired by, is accountable and reports to the Director and performs highly complex (senior-level) consultative service and program assistance work.<\/p>\n

* Work involves oversight, planning, cost analysis, reviewing, and providing advice to program trainers.<\/p>\n

* Oversees the development and implementation of various training and education programs and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public.<\/p>\n

* Seeks new and up-to- date methods to collect data to determine the best approach for the direction of training needs. Trains, leads, and\/or prioritizes the workload of others.<\/p>\n

Duties include: establishing program goals and objectives; developing program guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules and priorities; evaluating program activities; and providing consultative and technical services, overseeing, advising and facilitating program trainers that provide information, technical assistance, educational training to consumers, the general public, other governmental agencies, public\/private community organizations, contracted service providers, and agency staff.<\/p>\n

Communication Access Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Communication Access Specialist is hired by, accountable and reports to the Director and performs complex (journey-level)\u00a0consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves assisting with the planning, developing, and implementing various training and education programs and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public.<\/p>\n

Duties include: assisting with establishing program goals and objectives; assisting with developing program guidelines, procedures, and policies; assisting with developing schedules and priorities; assisting with evaluating program activities; and providing consultative and technical services and training to agency program staff, other governmental agencies, public\/private community organizations, contracted service providers, consumers and the general public.<\/p>\n

Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
