ARE YOU AWARE THAT THROUGH THE ACA (AFFORDABLE CARE ACT… Sometimes called OBAMARE) THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT BE REQUIRED TO USE THE VRI WHEN YOU GO TO THE HOSPITAL OR DOCTOR’S OFFICE?<\/p>\n

THE SECOND WORKSHOP FOR CAPSULE WILL BE HELD AT THE HOUSTON CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING ON SATURDAY, JULY 2nd AT 10 AM. HCIL IS LOCATED AT 6201 BONHOMME ROAD, HOUSTON 77036. THE WORKSHOP WILL FOCUS ON THE HARDSHIP THAT THE DEAF HAVE WHEN FORCED TO USE A VRI. THE CAPSULE GROUP HAD A RESENT RALLY IN GALVESTON TO PROTEST THE USE OF THE VRI WHEN ONE OF OUR DEAF LADIES WAS IN THE HOSPITAL. MANY DEAF WOULD RATHER HAVE A LIFE INTERPRETER.
