We are<br \/>\nespecially interested in supporting men, minorities, disabled, general<br \/>\nand special education teachers, and deaf trainees (even if they are<br \/>\nreceiving some support from the vocational rehabilitation agency in<br \/>\ntheir state) from across the United States. We may be able to fund the<br \/>\ntuition and books of those who are already certified in a teaching<br \/>\narea, have a high GPA, sign proficiently, and are able to take all<br \/>\nrequired courses for deaf education certification in a distance<br \/>\neducation (DE) format. We will fund a cadre of 8 well-qualified<br \/>\nindividuals in the TWU teacher preparation program for teachers of the<br \/>\nDeaf and Hard of Hearing. Those who do not recieve our funding are<br \/>\nwelcome to take courses from us as well whether for certification, a<br \/>\nmasters, or advancement pay. <\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions please send inquiries to<br \/>\ndeafdl@mail.twu.edu<br \/>\n. We encourage you to read through our application materials<br \/>\ncarefully, and complete all sections, so that we can best determine if<br \/>\nyou qualify for grant support.
