Deaf Services at SafePlace<\/p>\n
Deaf Services is NEW!! <\/p>\n
SafePlace is looking for 7 to 9 people to be on the committee for
\ninput & feedback from the Deaf community to guide our new Deaf
\nServices Program. <\/p>\n
Who can join the Advisory Committee?? <\/p>\n
The committee is open to anyone. <\/p>\n
Are you interested? <\/p>\n
Do you know someone who would like to be involved?? <\/p>\n
There will be a screening and interview. <\/p>\n
Background check is a requirement. <\/p>\n
Deaf community members are strongly encouraged (Deaf person, CODA,
\ninterpreters, or a person who works with the Deaf community) <\/p>\n
Meetings will be once a month. Thursday preferred. <\/p>\n
Discuss issues that impact Deaf Services: (Examples) <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Technology, Interpreters, Deaf related issues <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Services that need improvement <\/p>\n
\u00b7 New suggestions or ideas for the program <\/p>\n
\u00b7 How to meet Deaf community\u2019s needs <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Share community events to avoid conflicts <\/p>\n
\u00b7 No fund raising responsibilities <\/p>\n
And, many more!! <\/p>\n
