Main Street Theater – Theater for the Youth will be putting on a performance of “Duck for President” with UH ASLI volunteering as ASL shadow interpreters!<\/p>\n

That means for every actor, there will be an ASL signer\/performer assigned to “shadow” the actor’s movements on stage and deliver the lines in sign language. This requires extensive rehearsal to memorize the stage movement on top of the additional work needed to complete a linguistic analysis of the script.<\/p>\n

This is an exciting event for both adults and children. Please help us spread the news so that deaf children have greater access to the arts!<\/p>\n

\nTicket cost: $20 (but you can get a discount if you use the ASLDUCK code!)<\/p>\n

How do you get tickets?<\/p>\n

1. Go to http:\/\/boxoffice.printtixusa.com\/mainstreettheater\/eventcalendar<\/a>
\n2. Click on the Oct 29 – 11am show.
\n3. Choose a preferred seat center ($20), preferred seating side ($18) or regular seating ($16).
\n4. The system will give you the best seats available. Click “next step”.
\n5. Type in the code ASLDUCK. Click “apply code”. You will see a $2 or 4 discount for each ticket.
\n6. Complete the registration form to complete your order.<\/p>\n
