Job Summary<\/p>\n

Responsible for assisting with instructional tasks in a laboratory setting to assist the teaching staff.<\/p>\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Administers classroom tests to student with disabilities
\n\u2022 Identifies academic needs of students and gives instructions needed to remedy deficiencies in specified discipline
\n\u2022 Helps students with study skills and methods of study
\n\u2022 Responds to technical needs
\n\u2022 Supports and coordinates activities with faculty
\n\u2022 Coordinates and schedules lab usage
\n\u2022 Prepares and maintains classrooms for applicable learning activities
\n\u2022 Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
\n\u2022 Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
\n\u2022 Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures<\/p>\n

\u2022 Associate\u2019s degree or 60 college hours from a regionally accredited college or university with courses in the specialized field, and two (2) years of work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
\n\u2022 Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
\n\u2022 Excellent customer service skills
\n\u2022 Excellent oral and written communication skills
\n\u2022 Experience working with computerized systems
\nDesired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
\n\u2022 Knowledge of and experience in American Sign Language (ASL)<\/p>\n
