Texas Latino Council of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing offers
\nscholarships for undergraduate study at vocational, 2nd year colleges
\nand universities. <\/p>\n
CRITERIA: in order to be eligible for any scholarship, applicants
\nmust meet all of the following criteria: <\/p>\n
Hispanic\/Latino background <\/p>\n
2nd year student <\/p>\n
GPA: 3.0 or above <\/p>\n
Two (2) essays 500 word essay to answer the following questions: <\/p>\n
1) What are your involvements or activities in your Deaf Community? <\/p>\n
2) What kind of an impact does being a deaf leader or role model have
\nfor you in the Hispanic Deaf community? <\/p>\n
Must be deaf or hard of hearing and a U.S. Citizen residing in Texas <\/p>\n
Award – $250 for Books\/Supplies <\/p>\n
Number of Awards – 1 <\/p>\n
Deadline – July 15, 2008 <\/p>\n
