She was born July 16, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Barbara grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Central High School in 1954. After high school, she worked for Zebco Company assembling fishing reels. She married Robert C. Cox in October of 1961. Soon after starting a family, they moved to Richardson, Texas in 1972. Barbara worked for Texas Instruments and the Richardson ISD for several years. She loved going to church, taking care of her family, being with friends, and crocheting. She was a member of the Silent Friends Chapel of First Baptist Church, Dallas for almost 20 years, then moved her membership to Legacy Drive Deaf Fellowship in Plano where she attended for nearly 20 years. In the last few years, she attended the Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas. She and her husband, Bob, became members of the North Texas Deaf Senior Citizens Group and Couples Club.<\/p>\n<p>Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always willing to help others and always with a big heart. She was a genuine, generous, kind-hearted, compassionate, and committed woman. She will be missed by us all.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Duval and husband Bob Duval of Wylie, Texas and son, Donald R. Cox of Richardson, Texas. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Taylor Duval of Fort Worth, Texas and Rebecca Duval of Wylie, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 6:00pm in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, July 7, 2017.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 and Memorial Park 5111 S.
