Serves as the state director for the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD). Ensures a statewide, well-articulated, and coordinated comprehensive deaf education program. Collaborates effectively with state agencies, local educational agencies (LEAs), and parents to ensure the provision of appropriate statewide professional development and technical assistance designed to improve outcomes for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). Plans, develops, and implements state policies related to the education of students who are DHH. Coordinates, leads, and provides special education programmatic technical assistance to agency staff, education service centers (ESCs), school personnel, and other stakeholders related to the education of students who are DHH.
